We'll start with the ugly. What happened to my Vols? What an embarrassing loss to Florida. I don't even want to talk about it.
On to the bad. I am not doing so well in the Fantasy league this weekend. Not horrible, just not great. Maybe I'm just spoiled about coming in first place last weekend! Of course, there are still tonight's games and tomorrow's game to go. At least Peyton and the Colts pulled off their win against the Titans, but just barely.
So now we'll go on to the good stuff. We had a great weekend! After a very busy week at school, we headed to the mall Friday night. We needed to get Jenna's soccer cleats and Yankee Candle was having a sale! We ate here and had a good time. Riley would NOT sit down. She pretty much refuses the high chair, but won't sit in the booster seat. She sat next to Kyle, though, so at least I enjoyed my meal!
On Saturday, both Kellen and Jenna had soccer at 9:00. Kyle took Jenna to her game and Riley and I went to Kellen's. It rained the whole time, but they still seemed to have a good time.
Then it was home to have lunch and to get ready for the UT game. Gizmo was even ready, wearing her UT outfit my mom made her! Kellen went to a birthday party here and came home with a bucket of gems. She really had a great time.
Kyle and I watched the movie Running with Scissors after the girls went to bed. It wasn't as disturbing as the book, but still weird!
This morning we went to church and it was my turn to keep the nursery. Riley is quite the baby bully. She thinks she owns the place and her new favorite thing to say is "eeh mi-in!" (It's mine). She's quite the little miss.
After church we went to a corn maze at a farm down the road from our house. We had so much fun. Of course, I forgot the camera, so we'll have to go back again! This was the first year this farm had a corn maze, so Kyle and I weren't thinking it was going to be so big, but the maze itself was six acres! The girls were still gussied up from church and my sandals were definitely not corn maze approved! We completely underestimated the maze and got lost inside. Near the end, Kyle and I had to take over the decisions instead of letting the girls decide which was to go. We can't wait to go back.
Then it was home for lunch and the Colts game. They were playing the Titans, which is, of course, our second favorite team. The girls played outside and picked gourds, which we planted by accident. Long story, I'll save that for another posting! Riley took a good long nap and woke up just in time for dinner.
Since its gotten chilly up here we decided to go with the weather and make chili! The leaves are starting to change colors and that fall smell is in the air. Going to the corn maze and picking gourds are just the beginning.
I just love this time of year.

We can't wait to see the girls play soccer in person. Gizmo looks cute. Too bad about the game. I'm not sure we can actually call that a game. It was more like a "whoopin'" as my school kids like to say. Oh well, maybe the rest of the season won't be so bad. Gotta go sew. Birthday and Halloween outfits. Love, Momma
