So...what is Kellen like at eight?
*She has the biggest heart. She came home from school on Tuesday talking about the cyclone in Myanmar and the earthquake in China. She wanted to know what she could do to help those people. She spent all of her free time on Saturday planning my Mother's Day extravaganza. She is constantly wanting to do things for others.
Yet at the same time~
*She is quite snotty. Like a pre-teen kind of snotty. Lots of eye rolling. And hmmpfing. She got a cheapy MP3 player for Christmas that Kyle finally loaded all her songs on and I think the earbuds have become a permanent part of her head. Now she actually has an excuse for not hearing me tell her to
do her homework.
*When she grows up she wants to help animals or be a zoo keeper or a marine biologist or maybe an archaeologist. At least there's a theme. She definitely has a way with animals. I truly believe it may be her calling. But, NO, we are not getting a ferret.
*She is silly. She can giggle like no other. Oh, and she has a boyfriend. I'll call him "the enemy". I don't think "the enemy" knows about this situation, though.
*Her favorite subject at school is math. And, yes, she is my daughter. She definitely gets that from Kyle. She is quite the smarty-pants when it comes to all things numeric and science-y.
