Let's Talk Sports

I have a confession. You may have noticed that over the course of the football season, I quit talking about fantasy football. I did not do so well. I didn't even make the playoffs. Kyle won the whole darn thing. I don't want to talk about it anymore. I am a sore loser.
Now, on to "real" football. My Colts had a very disappointing game last week. I am a very loyal fan. I LOVE Peyton Manning and will follow him throughout his career. If you were a UT grad during the late 90's he is pretty much our collective hero. Due to this hero status, Kyle and I are complete and total Colts fans. And what a great team they are. I love this man ~ and the talent of him and him and him and him and him and him and him. I could go on and on.
So...who to root on now. Definitely not the Patriots. Except I do love Donte' Stallworth. I always wish him well. But I won't even talk about he-who-shall-not-be-named or even this guy.
The Chargers knocked out Peyton, so I can't go for them either.
Kyle grew up a Giants fan, so we always hope they do well. And how hard for Eli to always be in Peyton's shadow? He is a great player in his own right, so we will be wishing him luck. And Brett Farve? What an unbelievable season.
Anyway, now we can concentrate on UT basketball!
Enough about sports. Riley's new favorite word is "Sceery" (scary). Last Friday, Kyle took the girls to see Alvin and the Chipmunks. While there he took a movie poster of Johnny Depp from Sweeney Todd. When they got home he put the poster up to the window to scare me. Boo. It only sort of worked. Well, I put it on the back of the basement door (I mean, who could throw out Johnny Depp?) to make Kyle laugh when he got home from work. Now, every time Riley sees the poster, she says "That a sceery guy!". The other night the girls and I had to run out to do some errands after dark. This was a particularly dark night and Riley,
who is all the way in the back of the van, said, "I can't see you Mommy. It dark. Sceery." Then when I laughed, she said "I monster. Rahhhh! Sceery." Love her.
Kellen is back at school today and I hope she is doing all right. The skin around her eye is still red and swollen from where she has been rubbing it. She has a spelling test today and the words were BIG words like basketball and driveway. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for her, She inherited Kyle's spelling abilities.
And Jenna, my little fashionista has been putting some pretty fabulous outfits together. She still insists on wearing a dress everywhere, even under her snow pants to play in the snow.
They always keep life entertaining.

So are we all going to cheer on Eli now? BTW-Did you know he's marrying a girl from Brentwood and getting married in my church. That means Peyton will be in my church! How cool is that?!?!
