Goings On

So...Yay! The Giants are going to the Superbowl! I will totally be rooting Eli on against the evil Pats. Except for Donte', of course. Go Donte'!

I took the girls today for haircuts. Little Miss Wild Child desperately needed a cut. It was her first haircut! She's two. I don't know why its taken me this long. I'm just in denial that time is flying by. Kellen is growing her hair for Locks of Love. Its pretty long now, but she just needs two more inches so that its still long enough after the cut. She needed a good trim and a slight angle at the sides. Jenna decided at the last minute to get a short bob! Its so cute. Right in the middle of her cut, though, the stylist started to feel like she was going to have to pass out! So, with half of her hair short and half of it long, my little Jenna was just sitting in the chair. She was so good. The stylist never came back, either. We had to wait for another lady to finish cutting a little boys hair to finish Jenna's. And then there were the two VERY RUDE couples waiting behind us. They kept giving me dirty looks - like it was my fault the stylist got sick! I mean, Jenna was sitting there, very patiently I might add, with half of her hair cut ~ did they really think she wouldn't get her hair finished first? Rude, I tell you.

After the haircuts, I took the girls to McDonald's for lunch as a reward for being so good. We saw a good friend there whose two year old son was just diagnosed with leukemia. My heart just breaks for them. They are still not sure about what type of leukemia, so they are still waiting to find out before they can start treatment. Please say a prayer or send a good thought their way.

Then, it was off to Barnes and Noble to spend gift cards. You can completely see the difference in personalities of my girls by the books they pick out. Kellen bought an Step into Reading book about dolphins, Jenna picked out Barbie Mariposa (another Barbie movie), and Riley picked out Olivia (I had a little something to do with that!). First thing, though, Riley picked up a stuffed Curious George and decided he was now hers. We were not buying another stuffed animal. That was quite the scene when we had to put George back. Fun times.

Now, the wild one is sleeping and One and Two are getting ready to read. Off we go.

Those are three of the most beautiful faces I've ever seen! You deserve something very special for taking the girls for haircuts, McDonalds and books. I hope I'm as brave and poised as you are when there are multiple baby Smiths.

Your girls are just precious!! And I meant to comment before about how cute that picture is of them with their UT pom poms cheering on Peyton!! I think I might freak out if my stylist walked away with me half cut or half not so Jenna one ups me already!!! xoxo
