I was almost afraid to type that title. What if I just jinxed everything?
Kyle went back to work today after three days off. That is completely unheard of in his world. He was sick, though. Yesterday his temp spiked to 103.1. At some point your adult organs start shutting down with high fevers. That is what made me toss and turn last night.
He woke up around 3am totally shivering...in my sleep state, thoughts started rushing through my head. If his organs start shutting down, how do I get to the hospital with three little girls*who will pay the cable bill tomorrow (the one that still won't put my uncle's show on the air!!)*how do I go to my hair appointment at 9am on Saturday morning AND take Jenna to her make-up dance class at 8:30am? Completely selfish and self-centered thoughts, I know. It was 3am after all, and was the first complete night where one of the girls hadn't woken up. I plead sleep deprivation for my insane thoughts.
Clearly, his organs didn't shut down. So...I think we're okay in that department. #1, #2 and #3 are all doing fine. Again...a little afraid to type that.
Kellen rounded out the week with Stripe Day (I wish I had pictures of that day, their teachers must have thought I was crazy) and White Day, just in case you were wondering. Jenna didn't want it to be White Day, so she had Green Day.
Tonight is movie/pizza night. Yesterday, when I went out to get more sick supplies, I picked up frozen pizzas. I must whisper that because I do live in the land of great pizza. Someone may come and arrest me for crimes against pepperoni or something when I turn my oven on tonight. I just wasn't sure what today would bring in my house of germs.
I have a small case of OCD. Back in high school, I had to check that all the lights were turned off and that everything was unplugged fifteen times before I left the house. Now all that nutsiness has moved on to germs. If I think something is contaminated I just throw it away. I have been trying to figure out how to throw away my house. Can you fumigate germs from a house like you do termites? I so would right now.
The Super Bowl is this weekend. We won't be doing anything big. Why is it on so late on a Sunday night. I want to start a petition to move it to Saturday. Who's with me?
Jenna's 100th day of school is coming up on the 8th. We will be working on her big 100th Day Project this weekend. She wants it to have a Valentine's theme since its so close to Valentine's Day. Lots of hearts and pink and red. Speaking of Valentine's day, check out these cards. If you are a girl and grew up in the 80's then you, like me, would love a card like this. Hint. Hint.
Go Eli! My sister in Phoenix needs to be stalking the Mannings for me this weekend ~ not in a bad way. Just tell Peyton I love him.

Sorry, I can't get close to the Mannings, or any other celebrity for that matter, this weekend. You can see the stadium from our neighborhood though, they have all sorts of tents (yes, it is supposed to rain in the desert on Sunday) and carnival rides set up.
Glad Kyle is feeling better! You and I are a lot alike. I am a major germaphobe, and woke up at 3am not too long ago to the sound of john's stomach gurgling. I was sure he had ecoli from the hamburger he had eaten earlier that day. After about thirty minutes I woke him up to ask him if he was feeling ok. Needless to say he wasn't very happy about that!
I miss you guys!
