I will be so glad when this election is over. I swore to myself that I would not talk "politics" on this blog, because I truthfully believe that everyone is entitled to their opinion. Besides, I started this blog for fun.
What I can no longer ignore, however, is the belief by some people that if you are a Democrat then you must not be patriotic or Christian. I AM a Democrat. I believe with all my heart in Jesus Christ AND I love this country and support our troops. I know I'm not the only one.
I also happen to believe in religious freedom (isn't that the basis for our country, after all?) for everyone because I wouldn't want that right taken away from me.
As for some other beliefs I might have, I won't go into that because that would be like opening Pandora's box. So...for now, can we all please just get along?
But, hey, that's only my opinion.

Funny, I have the same beliefs you listed and I'm a Republican. How can this be??? Shouldn't we hate each other? I wish being a moderate could get you elected then we wouldn't be Dems and Repubs, just people. I'm glad you shared your opinion. I like your opinion.
Wow, I'm sorry that someone said something to you or implied that, people can be so ugly..atleast you arent down here in a red state and have to be careful what you say and who you say it too constantly! I understand everyone has their opinions on who they will vote for on how that will affect them personally and that's how it should be..
Amen, sister. Tho I am a republican, I am really on the fence this year (there , i put it out there publicly). I don't think either party follows the true christian path - isn't is supposed to be "love your neighbor", not "I got mine"?
Oh sister...welcome to my life. I have been persecuted since I was a wee tyke for my beliefs. I agree with you completely...I am ready for the election to be over..I am s anxious!
