We have had the tickets for months and on Saturday, Kyle, Kellen, Jenna and I spent the day in NYC. We drove to my sister and brother-in-law's house on Friday night due to yet another huge snowstorm. We left after Kyle got home around 7:00 and two hours later finally got in. The snow started about halfway into our drive and it was miserable. But we made it. Then Saturday morning we got up and got ready and caught the train.

I love going into the city. We don't do it often enough. There is just an endless amount of things to do. In another life, I would totally live there. Or maybe Boston. Yeah, definitely Boston.

Anyway, we got off the train and had yummy pizza (girl's choice!) and stromboli. Then we headed to the show. We were the first people there, so we got some pictures outside the theater and then went to a little gift shop across the street.
Then. The show. Fantastic. I don't even think I could describe it. Beautiful. Amazing.
My favorites were Flotsam and Jetsam. In my opinion, they totally stole the show. Jenna's favorite was Ariel, of course. Kellen loved Flounder. He was played by a boy about her age and I think she was blown away that a kid got to be in the show. It really was wonderful.
Then, we headed over to the "mecca". Kyle's dream come true. He so didn't get it.
I think the girls had more fun there than at the show. Now they are even more hooked. We came home with this and this. They want to go back and have their dolls hair styled. Oh to be a girl.
Then back on the train. Riley stayed with Aunt Colleen and Uncle Tod and had a blast herself. She was the complete center of attention and played "docker bear" (doctor) all day long. Then the hour and half ride back home.
*So I'm exhausted and Kyle's exhausted and the girls are exhausted. Since we've been home they haven't stopped fighting with each other. We had Brownies today and my brain feels like spaghetti minus the meatballs.*
Thank goodness we are only having macaroni for dinner.

What a fun time!! Landon got an American Girl doll for Christmas and I think I have played with it most! I never had one when I was little but would pore over the catalog wishing for Samantha and her little brass bed. What fun it would be to go the store!!
Glad you have all those girls to do such fun things with- and good sport Kyle for going along :)
Love and miss you guys!
Sara
The girls look so excited and pretty. You can just see the "dreaminess" in Jenna's eyes and the "see how grown up I am" in Kellen's. Love Momma
How fun :) I really miss NYC! Going back this fall and cannot wait~
I really want to be one of your daughters. You girls have so much fun! What a dream day for all of you (except for maybe Kyle, but he seems to be quite the trooper).
