Monday, Monday

Another weekend over and a new week begins. Somehow it seems like we wasted lots of time doing nothing but then when I think about everything we did I don't know how we did it all. Weekends are weird like that.

So, what did we do this weekend you ask? Well, maybe you didn't ask, but I'll tell you anyway.

Kellen's glasses broke last week, so Friday night we went to get new ones. That was fun. (My italics are meant to signal sarcasm here.) Lots of arguing, demanding and frustration happening. Thank goodness that's over.

Saturday started out very lazy. We had a girl scout fair to go to. Jenna's Daisy troop was doing a bowling booth, so we had to be there at 2:30. We barely made it, that's how lazy a morning it was. Kellen and I were also going to help out at Jenna's booth. My troop (and Kellen's) didn't host a booth because every single one of my girls was at a First Communion retreat during the exact same time as the fair. {I would say about 75% of our town is Catholic, so Kellen is feeling very left out of things. This is First Communion age and she is also the only kid in her entire class not going through this.}

Also, my girls were in T-R-O-U-B-L-E on Saturday because they took my cash out of my money jar. And lied about it. However, to their defense they took my cash and were going to donate it toward Kellen's Jump Rope for Heart campaign. They stonated my money.

So, after the fair (Which was a lot of fun and the girls were the absolute best behaved kids there and absolute best workers since they were in T-R-O-U-B-L-E!) we came home and cleaned out the van. The girls helped and hopefully will help keep it clean after seeing how messy they are. Then we headed off to return bottles and take a trip to the grocery store. Fun, fun, fun.

Sunday, was church. Riley is getting over croup, so she and Kyle stayed home. I had a meeting after church, so we didn't get home until almost 2:00! That is the hardest thing, to me, about consistently going to church because its an all day affair. The girls played outside and went on a bike ride with Kyle while I worked out in the yard. Then, Kyle and the girls made root beer. That's right. They made it.

Kyle's hobby is making his own beer and wine and the girls have always enjoying helping him cork and cap his bottles. Since they don't get to enjoy the fruits of their labors, he thought he would try making soda that they could actually try. This weekend was root beer, next is raspberry. We'll see how it turns out.

While they were making root beer and then Kyle made dinner (yep, Kyle made dinner), I was going through papers. Kyle and I might be the worst paper filers in the whole world. Kyle doesn't go through anything and I pile things up because I'm afraid to throw anything away, so when people come over I pick up the piles (the one on the desk, the one by the couch and the one on the kitchen counter) and I put them in a box in a closet. So, I was going through a box and got totally sucked in to CMT's top 100 videos of all time. So my thick Southern accent is back for a few days.

And the Lady Vols won! And UCONN lost!

Its the start of another great week for this Tennessee girl in Huskyland.
