Catch-Up

Nothing very exciting is going on with us lately. Just business as usual. So, I'll apologize in advance for today's post.

*Lady Vols ~ Once again, my family's status as the only members of the UT fan club of Connecticut has been upheld by these wonderful women! Go Vols, go Vols, woo-hoo, go vols! Thank goodness, too, or I might have had to go into hiding for a few days after all the smack talking I recently did.

*NKOTB ~ I am still just completely thrilled about this reunion. I have had all of their songs stuck in my head - even the Christmas album. I remember singing "Have a funky, funky Christmas..." and my mom getting mad because it sounded like I was singing something else! Most of my friends up here are a few years older than me and not as into New Kids. Arrrgggh. All this nostalgia is reminding me of my 7th and 8th grade years. My holey jeans that I finally convinced my mom to let me have but only if I would agree to sew fabric under the upper holes (I was so infatuated with Def Leppard and that Pour Some Sugar on Me video), Milli Vanilli (Girl- you know its true - you loved them, too!), pegging those holey jeans and spraying my sky-high bangs until they moved as one. Those were the days.

*American Idol ~ I am so mad at America! How could they have voted off Michael Johns???? And kept David Archuleta??? Maybe I am totally in the minority here, but I am sooo bored by little David. I swear he's more like 70 than 17. Bored. Seriously. Plus, I am totally ready for Syesha and Kristy Lee to go already. If something happens to my current (fake) boyfriend Jason Castro, I might revolt.

*Date Night ~ Tonight is our turn again. Yay! I am always so ready to have a night out. Last month, instead of going out separately and switching sleepover nights, Lisa and Michael and Kyle and I went out together. We went to dinner and then bowling and had so much fun. When Kyle and I go out by ourselves, we definitely enjoy the quiet relaxation, but when we go with Michael and Lisa, its non-stop laughing. Tonight, though, it will just be us and a nice dinner and then a non-interrupted movie when we get home. And hopefully we will finalize our 10-year anniversary plans. I can't believe its been that long and at the same time I can't believe it hasn't been longer. We won't be doing anything big, but I hope it will be something special.

*Babies ~ I won't apologize for this happy info! I want to send congrats to Courtney for her recent good news and to Kim! And it won't be long until I will be an aunt again. Sarah is due at the end of May. We are going to see her this weekend and every time we see her it looks as if it could be any day now! My little niece, Emory, is now crawling and I can't wait to see her again this summer. Cutie-patootie babies. Love it.
Edited to add: Check out my comments below to see Sara's good news! Sara is my bestest college friend!!!! YAY to the Casey's!

That's all I've got. Enjoy the weekend!

I am cracking up at all the NKOB talk! For some reason, I just missed that craze. Exciting for all the fans out there. :)

Wow! 10 years for you and Kyle IS coming up very soon. I still remember going down to Etowah for the big event. Feels forever ago and then doesn't. So strange how that works.

Can't wait to see your newest little niece soon. Good luck to Sarah. :)
