Crush

OK, so for today, I'm going to let you in on a little secret....I have a secret crush on a fictional television character. This crush is also the next thing on my thankful list.

18. Tim Riggins from Friday Night Lights. I. Am. In. Love. First, let me say, if you are not watching this show, especially if you are from the South, or love football, or are from a small town, then WHAT ARE YOU THINKING?!? This has to be one of the best television shows - ever! The book was great, the movie was good and drumroll please....the show is fantastic.
Now on to Tim Riggins. Seriously has to be the best looking person in the world. He is one hundred and ten percent above McDreamy and much steamier than McSteamy! He is every loyal small town bad boy with a big heart rolled up in one.

I should say that my crushes on fictional people (the fact that these "people" aren't real makes it OK, right?) started long ago in my preteen days. Yes, I thought it was a real possibility that I might actually meet Kirk Cameron, Jordan McKnight or Simon LeBon and they might actually be my soulmate ~ I was no different from any other silly, giggly girl. But I saved my real love for those that didn't even exist.

My first (fictional) crush (obsession) was on Billy the Kid. Now, I know that Billy the Kid was a real actual person. I didn't have a crush on him. I had a crush on Billy the Kid as played by Emilio Estevez in the Young Guns movies. I am not kidding. I had a rather dysfunctional hero worship of the fictionalized version of the outlaw. Of course, I also loved Emilio in St. Elmo's Fire and The Breakfast Club, but that love does not even compare to him as Billy the Kid. I truly believe he did not die at the hand of Pat Garrett and that he truly deserved to be pardoned and that "he never shot first, but drew first blood" (that's from the Young Guns II soundtrack by Bon Jovi that, yes, I do own it and still listen to it~ See? I'm not kidding about the obsession) all because of the movies.
My second major fictional crush was (is) on Pacey Witter from Dawson's Creek. Yes, Joshua Jackson is just as cute as Pacey. And yes, I did watch Urban Legend and The Skulls because the guy who played Pacey was in those movies. Pacey was always over-shadowed by best friend Dawson and was also a small town rebel (do I have a running theme here?). I was so happy that Joey and Pacey ended up together. I will always heart Pacey. : )

Now that I've let you into my secret "crazy" world, let me just say...I am quite sane. I know (sort of) that Tim Riggins, Pacey Witter and (the movie version only!) Billy the Kid are not real and that I will never meet them and fall madly in love and that they are my 2nd, 3rd and 4th fake husbands. You never know, though, Jenna is a mermaid...
