I'm sorry I haven't posted in awhile, but its just been one of those weeks. Instead of going into the minutiae of our busy week I'll just give the brief overview:
1. First Brownie meeting. It went very well. All the stress I had over it going ok has dissipated. To tell you the truth, I was scared of all those (14!!!!) 7 year old girls but I totally held my own. Our craft project was to make gourd-people and they all turned out great.
2. Haircut with no stroller. I had left Riley's stroller in Kyle's car, so when I went to my hair appointment Tuesday morning and opened the back of the van, I had complete heart failure. So, I could do nothing but take her in and hope for the best. For the most part she did very well except for the tumble off one of their very pretty but not practical chairs and dragging my purse through all the cut hair. She cracked all the stylists up, though, just laughing at everything. It was pretty cute.
3. Wednesday the crazy dance day. This was no crazier than any other Wednesday, except that I had a book club meeting that I had to bake muffins for. So it was send girls to school, bake muffins, go to book club, go home to get Jenna off the bus, lunch, go to dance (30 minutes away), come home from dance, get Kellen off the bus, take Kellen to dance, run through McDonalds, come home! Oh yeah, Kellen also had a field trip and Jenna had a book fair.
4. Another busy day. I met my good friend, Sheri, for breakfast at our favorite breakfast restaurant on Thursday and had the yummiest pancakes ever. Riley had physical therapy - she did really well, showing Miss Val how she can go up and down the stairs pretty much all by herself. That night we had the Book Fair/Ice Cream Social (Kyle was even able to make it home in time to go with us!). All in all a really great day.
5. Pizza and Movie Night. This is our Friday night tradition. This is always fun and we watched An American Tail. Love that movie. The picture above is of the girls watching Return of the Jedi (I took it in the dark, so the quality isn't great) a few weeks ago.
6. Rain, Rain, Go Away. Both of the girls soccer games were rained out, which frankly, I didn't mind so much. I have to say I am ready for the end of soccer. However, Kyle's dad came to see them play, so that was kind of a bummer for the girls. It would have been Jenna's last week, but he will come again next weekend to see them then. Then, we headed back to Stew Leonard's for some grocery shopping. This place really is amazing and so much fun. I think we were there for three hours.
7. UT/South Carolina game. Oh, goodness. What a crazy game. Thank goodness we pulled it off. Can't have Spurrier going home with a win against us. By the way, I saw my cousin Erica on TV at the game!

8. I lost to Kyle in Fantasy Football.
9. We have three new additions to the family. We added three snails to our lobster tank. "King Triton" is actually a blue crayfish, but the girls and the people up here call him a lobster. The girls named the snails, "Sluggish" (Kellen), "Little Mermaid Mermaid" (do I even have to say...Jenna) and "One Bad Fish" (actually sounds more like, Uh Ba Ish - Riley really came up with that herself). We needed the snails to clean the algae in the tank because "King Triton" would eat any fish that we put in there. He is actually trying to figure out how to eat the snails.
10. Kellen lost her right front tooth on Monday. She waiteduntil last night to give it to the Tooth Fairy. She just wasn't ready to part with it.
Last, I would like to request prayers for our dear friends Erinn and Dom. They lost their baby girl this past week and please, please, please keep them on your prayer lists. I can only imagine what they are going through.
