Does anyone else have those days where you just don't feel like doing anything? I am in a funk this week. Maybe its because last weekend was so busy and since we were hosting two parties here I had to be "on". I am just feeling very "blah".
It has still been a normal week so I've still had to get up and get going and take the girls to soccer, dance, school, etc. I just have been procrastinating everything else. Instead of doing the dishes right away, I've been waiting until right before I make dinner. I have been putting off doing laundry until I needed something specific washed! Gizmo has seasonal allergies, yes my dog has allergies, and won't take her medicine, so after being up all night Tuesday scratching and walking around our room, she got up Wednesday morning and pooped and threw up all over the girls playroom. I'm sure she did it out of stress and maybe even as revenge against the girls for taking over the #1 spot in our hearts. But it took me an hour to work up the courage to go clean it up! I had to have two cups of coffee before I could go deal with it!
And then, on Monday, is my first Brownie meeting. I have so much to do to get ready for it and I feel like I haven't done anything. You seriously would not believe the amount of forms that the parents have to fill out just to let their kids participate. Not to mention that I have 12 little girls and no co-leader! Plus, I will have Jenna and Riley there. It is going to be a zoo. Thank goodness the other moms are going to rotate and help out at the meetings. I just keep repeating the song, I've got something in my pocket. It belongs across my face, and I keep it very close at hand in a most convenient place. I'm sure you couldn't guess it if you guessed a long, long while. So I'll take it out and put it on - its a great big Brownie Smile! over and over again as my mantra about how fun being a Brownie leader will be.
Tomorrow, Kellen and Kyle are going to a Father/Daughter Halloween costume dance for girl scouts. Kellen will wear her Halloween costume and I think Kyle will go as....a financial analyst! How original! I don't know, maybe I can convince him to put something on. Maybe he can paint his face orange and white and go as a UT fan.
Speaking of UT...the Alabama game is this weekend. I have no idea if its going to be on tv or not in the south, let alone up here. So, we may be having lunch at the sports bar after soccer on Saturday morning.
Also, my uncle's show debuted with the Fox Business Channel this week and I hear that its good, but I wouldn't know since our cable provider isn't PROVIDING us the channel! I have been calling to request it, but I don't know how much good its going to do, so if anyone reading this is living north of the Mason/Dixon line and have Comcast, please call in and request the Fox Business Channel for the New England states.
Riley had her physical therapy (she has low muscle tone in her legs) today and did really well. She is climbing on everything and scaring the heck out of me! She is quite fast to be such a wobbly walker!
Jenna, Riley and I will have a night alone tomorrow while Kellen and Kyle are at their dance. I haven't decided what we will do, yet, but I'll try to come up with something special. Any ideas?
Kyle just called and said he is almost home. Thank goodness, because from 5:00 to 7:00 is the witching hour(s) at our house and we are waiting on him to bring home the (garlic) bread!
