First Day

Yesterday was the first day of school for Kellen and Jenna. I can't believe I have a third grader and first grader. Where did the time go?

Since both of the big girls are in school for the full day this year, that means I am home with the littlest Little all by ourselves. She definitely misses K and J, but is relishing in her time alone with me. She has talked constantly and is always saying, "Watch this Mommy!".

I am always so excited around this time of year. I know most people do Spring cleaning but for me its Fall cleaning. For the past week I have been cleaning house like a mad-woman. I love starting each school year with a fresh outlook. Its like a clean slate. We are re-doing the girls' rooms, we cleaned out (= threw away) the playroom and the laundry room and I am planning on cleaning out a closet each day during Riley's nap. I hope I can stick with it. It would be nice to be organized.

The girls have great teachers this year (we have been VERY lucky) and are really happy with the kids in their classes. Kellen starts cursive and Spanish this year and is going to learn to play the recorder. Jenna has the same teacher that Kellen had, so she's glad to have a familiar face. Since she is at school for the whole day this year she also gets to have LUNCH! At school! This has been her favorite thing. I think its because it means she's one of the big kids.

So...now that school has started and I am feeling excited for the Fall, that could only mean one thing. It's FOOTBALL time!

I LOVE the picture of all 3 girls! I can't believe how grown up they are either. I remember sitting in class one day when Laura told me you were pregnant with Kellen and now she is in 3rd grade! WHAT?? I am totally on board with the fall cleaning. I have been cleaning out closets during naps, too. Good times to be had by all. And, oh yeah, GO VOLS!! We are so excited for football season!!

I seriously can't believe you have a THIRD grader. That does not at all seem possible. The girls look smashing!
