Family Reunion

I have been trying to get this post out for a couple of days now, but after getting back home I have had a massive sinus/allergy/cold thing going on. Plus, there are the 22 HOURS of Days and 71.5 HOURS of Olympics that we have been trying to get through. {Um, how awesome is Michael Phelps? He is now holding the number 1 spot on my fake boyfriend list. And, by the way, after hearing Kyle make the comment that MP was the best swimmer in the whole world, Jenna said, "Daddy, I am the best swimmer in the whole world!". I guess I have Future Olympian's Mother to add to my resume. Also, note to China: Seriously? You have got to be kidding me that those girls are 16. Sheesh.}

Just so you know, I am the only one trying to get through Days. I know Kyle is just shaking his head right now. AND I am trying to get through those 22 hours when the girls aren't looking because when Marlena was the killer a few years back Kellen broke that news to Kyle. She was three ~ so I nipped her Days addiction right then and there. So its 5 minutes here, 10 minutes there. Its going to take forever. And no. I will not just delete them because for the first time since my college years it's getting really good!

OK, back to the actual post. We are back home from my annual family reunion. Here is the break down:
2 sixteen hour drives.
1 stay in a hotel.
2 nights at my parents.
3 nights at the lake.
10 aunts and uncles.
13 cousins.
4 husbands of above cousins plus 2 boyfriends.
5 great-grandchildren (3 of which are mine).
1 family from Wisconsin ~ my dad's cousin and his family.
1 visit with honorary family.
1 Mamaw.
1 Papaw.
1 early birthday party.
1 visit with my Grandmother in Knoxville.
1 boat with tubes, skis, a junior board, surf board and wake board.
+ 1 bunny along for the ride.

"The funnest time of my whole life", according to Jenna. We all had such a great time and I believe that this particular trip will always stand out to the girls. After having such an amazing summer at the pool and learning to swim ~ learning to tube and board was the perfect ending for Kellen and Jenna. They are so proud of themselves and Kyle and I are unbelievably proud of them. My uncle taught me to water ski (and all of my cousins) at these reunions and it was a huge part of my childhood and know to have my girls getting to experience it as well is just priceless.

You make me weepy. We had a great time with you all too. The girls are getting so big! I can hardly believe it.
Everett spent a lot of time around girls last week and I believe he's a fan-uh oh, this is potential trouble for the future:)
