Fairy Tale Princess

I know that everyone says this and I usually roll my eyes when I hear it, but...I just can't believe how quickly time passes. My little twirly-girl Jenna is now seven.

Oh, Jenna. I don't even know how to describe Jenna with words. I think you might get a better understanding of her if you went out in a field of flowers and twirled. Or put on a pair of jeans and sneakers and then put a tutu over the whole thing. She can just light up a room with a smile. She is just G-R-E-A-T.

Not long ago, she fell off the monkey bars at school and broke her wrist. When the school nurse called I wasn't really surprised. She is/was determined to cross those monkey bars. Unfortunately, she didn't make it that time

That's one thing about Jenna. She is determined. If Jenna wants to be great at something, she practices until she is. I admire that so much.

In keeping with my sweet girl's personality, she had a "Fairy Tale" themed birthday party. We read fairy tales and then did an activity relating to each. For example, I read Rumplestiltskin and then all the kids had to come up with their own funny names. For her friends, we had fairy tale cupcakes and I made a Princess and the Pea cake for the family.

On her real birthday, we took her to see fairy houses built by artists and had a blast. It was a magical day for a magical girl.
