It's Back

I was happy. Jubilant. Ecstatic. As of this morning, there had been no vomiting in my house for one WHOLE day.

Jenna first got sick at school a week ago today and literally threw up at least once a day until Sunday. Easter. The day that we would have put on beautiful dresses, celebrated Christ's resurrection and people were supposed to be coming to our house for a big wonderful meal. Ham, grits casserole, Paula Deen's peanut butter eggs, Sister Shubert's rolls that I ordered online and paid almost $30 shipping (Seriously. The shipping was more than the rolls.). It would have been great.

Instead, we had vomit, no church and 37 degree temps. I still made them put on the dresses and go outside for a photo session. You can tell how thrilled they were by the lovely facial expressions in the Easter post below.

So, anywho, back to today. Jenna (after starting an anti-nausea medicine because she had literally not eaten anything since last Monday) went back to school today. Yay!

Kellen, on the other hand, woke up in a horrible mood. Crrranky. I knew she hadn't slept well so I chalked up her moodiness on being tired. She is such a slow mover in the mornings. I practically push her out the door in the mornings after reminding her 5 times to brush her hair, 7 times to put on her glasses, and 3 times to find shoes and socks. Today was no different; actually it was a lot worse. I really thought she was faking not feeling good ~ she came home early from school last week and stayed home Thursday because she didn't feel good. I wasn't taking any chances last week because of Jenna and Riley's virus. By Friday, Kellen was as good as new. So, this morning, I really thought she just plain old didn't want to go to school.

I was wrong.

I just picked her up a few minutes ago after she got sick at school. You can just go ahead and nominate me for Mother of the Year.

This post was NOT approved by Kellen.
