The girls are home from school today for a staff-development day. This is what is on our to-do list on this special day off:
*Watch Boomerang shows.
*Make chocolate pudding.
*Wash and put away laundry.
*Make soap (from a kit Jenna got for Christmas).
*WITNESS HISTORY.
I don't care what political side of the fence you reside on. I don't care if you agree with his policies or not. Today is a historic day for our country.
I am so happy that my girls are alive today and that they are old enough (1 and 2 anyway) to witness Barack Obama become the first black president. I am also proud that they are growing up in a generation that won't really understand why its such a big deal.

I'm glad your girls got to watch, things have changed even in the past 25 or so years since we were their age, and I dont ever really remember watching much of the inauguration..
Thanks for the comment, that experience really bothered me!
