Oh the festivities!

Well, I'm averaging about one posting a week. I feel like I have just been running around like a chicken with its head cut off. I hope, pray, think that I am done with Christmas shopping. Kyle is finishing the last little bit on his way home tonight. We have had so many snow delays that my planning has just gone out the window. Every free day, i.e. shopping day, has been snowed or iced out.
We ended up getting about 8 inches of snow from the day of my last posting. Since then we have had ice on top of that. It has been a little treacherous going about our travels. I'm not complaining, though, I LOVE THE WINTER!
Since I last posted, we went on our North Pole Express, (Very fun. It was freezing. AND I am figuring out that this may be Kellen's last year of *believing* in you know who, which breaks my heart.), had my cookie baking day (My friends and I ended up baking alone at our own houses due to two sick kids and then swapping the goodies that night ~ not as much fun, but what are you going to do?), went to two carol sings at the girls' school (cute) and had Riley's 2nd birthday party (She has officially entered the "terrible twos". She has written on the wall, been biting, pulling hair and getting a very sassy mouth. The problem is that she is just too darn cute even when she is telling me "NO, NO, NO Mommy. I Riley. I NO" whenever I ask her to do something.).
I am looking forward to a nice relaxing holiday (yeah right, have I mentioned the three drama queens who live in my house?) with the family. Tonight, Kyle is going to make gingerbread dough with the girls and its our pizza-and-a-movie night. Tomorrow they will bake and I hope to wrap everything (I made the mistake of putting a few wrapped presents under the tree already and Riley already opened them!). We are also going to dinner at Gramma Carol's and out to look at Christmas lights. Then, on Sunday is the Christmas pageant at church. And then, of course, Christmas Eve!! I hope Santa comes because I had to call him yesterday. The girls were unbelievable. I remember, and maybe my memory is skewed somewhat, but I remember being extra good this close to Christmas. My girls have been CRAZY! Kellen has quite the at-ti-tude, Jenna is the queen of the tantrum and Riley is just two. Well, as of yesterday, all three girls were on the naughty list and need to be PERFECT to work their way back to nice.
We'll see.
I hope everyone has a wonderful, merry and safe Christmas!
