Keeping It Real

Kyle and I celebrated our ELEVENTH anniversary last Saturday. I am amazed that it has been 14 years since he and I met. I truly cannot imagine life without him.

To celebrate we:
*went to Kellen's soccer game at 8:45 in the morning (10 minutes late to my dismay).
*locked the keys in the minivan along with the cell phone and AAA card (actually, Kyle locked the keys in the van).
*bummed a ride off friends to go back home to get other set of keys and the car (Kyle) and waited at the soccer field with three very impatient kids including a certain three year old who cut her hand on the chain link fence (me).
*bring along the dog to pick up anxious family at the soccer field, the same dog who would then throw up all over the minivan.
*rush Kellen home to shower so she could go to her friend's dance recital and comfort Riley who would NOT stop crying because of the cut on her hand (me).
*take Jenna to her soccer game at 11:00 (Kyle).
*bring Jenna back to shower and somehow eat lunch...bologna sandwiches for all!
*go see my little cousin (she just turned 21!) from Georgia play soccer in Connecticut at a college not far from us ~ she's on a pro summer league!
*leave soccer game only to discover ~JOY!~ a swim meet being held at the same college. Jenna falls down some concrete stairs and hits her forehead. Screaming ensues. We rush to the van to get first aid kit and realize we have no ice pack since we used that last year when she slammed her hand in the door.
*decide Jenna is going to be OK, no concussion or major head trauma symptoms. We find a drug store and get Motrin and an ice pack. Whew, crisis averted.
*run through McDonald's for dinner.

I can't imagine spending that crazy day with anyone else.
