I'm going to tell you a story today. Before I start, there are some things you need to know.

1. The girls LOVE that Kay's Jewelers commercial where the man hangs earrings on a tree for his girlfriend/wife to find.

2. The Holiday Craft Fair is over. Thank the Lord. The craft fair, if you don't know, is put on by our girl scouts. Each troop that participates makes crafts through the year and then sells them at the fair. Its meant for young kids to be able to buy inexpensive gifts for their family members. Most items are $2 or less.

So begins my story.

Once upon a time, there lived a family with a mom and a dad and three beautiful girls. It was almost Christmas, so the family went to pick out their tree. It was a bitterly cold and windy day, so they all bundled up to brave the cold.

There were lots of pretty snow covered trees. "What about this one?" asked the dad. "No!" said the girls. "What about this one?" asked the mom. "No!" said the girls.

They looked and looked and got colder and colder. The youngest was freezing and was ready to go. All of a sudden, there were squeals of delight. "We found the perfect tree!" shouted the girl in between. "What makes it perfect?" asked the dad. "This" said the oldest. Under the tree the mom and dad found a little gold chest with a beautiful pair of Christmas earrings inside.

It was the perfect tree. The dad cut it down and the family trekked back through the snow.

They brought home their tree and they all lived happily ever after.
